My first oil painting. Slathered thickly with blues, greens, and grays, Painted with plenty of impasto, especially on the windy white crests of the waves, to create rippling raised contours on the canvas surface. The waves appear to strongly ebb and flow, and the viewer can almost feel the surging power of the sea.
